A Veil of Spells is a strong urban fantasy debut with a protagonist worth rooting for. Sadie Maston has spent her whole life believing she's human, working a job she hates and carrying the weight of a system built to keep people like her down. When a chance encounter at the bar where she works reveals she's something else entirely, her world turns upside down, and she's pulled into a hidden world of warlocks, vampires, shifters, and a Coven with a lot to answer for.
